Welcome to Anchors Away, our canal-front townhouse featuring beautiful sunset views overlooking your own boat down below. Walk a short block to the Periwinkle Public Beach access for some sand and surf. Then, return for cocktails on the back porch overlooking the Carolina Beach Canal and watch the sun go down. Enjoy meals at home in our fully equipped kitchen, or take a stroll to the Carolina Beach Pier for drinks and food at the Low Tide Tiki Bar. The Seawitch is just a bike ride away for the best live music on the island, and there's plenty of room in our garage for your bikes! Tasteful furnishings keep the whole family in comfort with plenty of room to sleep 8. Our condo community boat dock was just rebuilt in Summer 2023, and includes water and power at the slip. Bring your own hose and power cord. Meet your boating friends at the nearby dinghy dock, the Carolina Beach Marina, or the Carolina Beach Mooring Field, all located in the canal for a day on the water. If you aren't bringing a boat and merely want to fish the Carolina Beach canal, you'll have fishing access from the new dock as well. Anchors Away will have your whole family enjoying both the sound and the surf alike. The Snows Cut Wildlife Boat Ramp is the closest public put-in. Sea Breeze Boat Storage is also a good source for local boating logistics. Please call Sea Coast Rentals at Carolina Beach for contact information.

Ground Level:

Garage with Extra Storage, corn hole game. Generous parking for four vehicles. Boat Trailer parking allowed. Community Pool.

Canal front/boat dock/gazebo, 30' boat slip, 10' beam width. Copy of boat insurance must be filed with Sea Coast when using the dock. #8 is the assigned slip.

Nearest Boat Put-In is at the Wildlife Ramp into Snows Cut, just across the canal. Call our management office for details.

Level 1:

Kitchen with Stainless steel appliances, bar seating for 2
Dining Table with seating for 4.
A Living Area with generous comfortable furnishings and entry onto the deck with Canal View and seating for six.

Primary Bedroom with King bed, private upper deck access, TV
First Guest Bedroom with one Queen bed
Guest bathroom with vanity and shower tub combo
Second Guest Bedroom with Queen bunk bed
Washer and Dryer

Parking for 3-5 vehicles, size dependent.

Rental Policies:

In response to increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Arrival/departure:

Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4pm and are guaranteed by 6pm

Off Season Check-ins begin at 3pm and are guaranteed by 5pm

Check out is by 10 AM.

We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early early or plan to delay your departure.

Hard Key Entry. Please plan to stop by our pffice to pick up your keys.

House Rules:
No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
No smoking
You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.

Pet Policy: No pets allowed

Cancellation Policy:

- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking

- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee

- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re rented. If premises are re rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee.

Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!

Explore the treasures of Carolina Beach, ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine. One of the last remaining beach boardwalks on the East Coast, it includes a variety of restaurants, arcade, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more! During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Rent a Jeep, bicycle, or golf cart as the most convenient ways to navigate the island. Annual off- season events include the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival.

Have stayed here before, but in the complex itself numerous times. We know the owners in the neighboring condos & so for us it feels like coming to a 2nd home.

This place was wonderful. It’s exactly as advertised. Location is superb, the house has everything you need to have a great vacation. There were some issues with dust, the lint trap in the laundry was pretty full, but other than that it was great. Check in was super easy, as was check out. I’d recommend this place to anyone

We had a wonderful stay at Anchors Away. The view is spectacular, sunsets are amazing and it's so close to the beach. The townhouse has all of the necessary amenities. With the garage you can easily park 3 cars. The neighborhood is quiet and residential but close enough to the restaurants and shopping in Carolina Beach. We'll definitely be back!

Anchors Away is a fantastic property. The property is open and feels very roomy. We thoroughly enjoyed the canal views. One concern of ours before booking was the distance to the pool and the beach. I can tell you that the pool is just across the parking lot, very close. And the beach is a short walk. We really appreciated the beach chairs and toys in the garage. It's evident that Anchors Away is a home, thank you for sharing it with us for the week. To the Sea Coast Rental team, thank you for the texts reminding us of events. Also, Carissa & Freddy were great to work with.
